Linnie Allison Cooley
Obituary from the East Liverpool Review:
Mrs. Linnie Cooley, 77,
widow of Finley Cooley, died today at 9 a.m. in her home at 408 Maplewood ave.,
following an illness of about 2 years. Mrs. Cooley was born in Hancock county
and came to East Liverpool about 47 years ago following her marriage. She was a
member of the Calvary Methodist church and the Oriental Missionary society of
China, and was a patron of God's Bible school in Cincinnati. She leaves two
sons, Merrill F. Cooley of Warren and Floyd F. Cooley of Apple Creek; two sisters, Mrs. Rilla Needham of East
Liverpool and Mrs. Belle Pugh of Chester; one step - son, Fred Cooley of New
Brighton, Pa.; three step - daughters, Mrs. Effie Hunt and Miss Lulu Cooley of
East Liverpool and Mrs. Velva Flesher of New Brighton, Pa., and four
grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Calvary
Methodist church with Rev. J.F. Dimit of Alliance, former pastor of the Methodist
Protestant church, and Rev. C. C. Hanks, pastor of the First Church of the
Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove cemetery. Friends may
call tonight and Sunday night from 7 to 9 at the late home.
