Merrill Edward Bryner

Merrill E. Bryner, 75, of State Route 267, East Liverpool, Ohio, died Tuesday Sept. 4, 1984 in East Liverpool City Hospital, as a result of injuries suffered in a fall earlier Tuesday morning.

Born June 13, 1909, in Shippenville, Pa., son of the late Ezra and Grace Bryner, he was a resident of East Liverpool over 40 years, and a retired painter for the former Crucible Steele Co., Midland, with 40 years service.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Benson Bryner, in 1938, and his second wife, Ruth Haddox Lanam Bryner, in 1979.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Donna Jean) Williamson, Orange Park, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Pat Lewis, East Liverpool; four stepsons, Jack A. Lanam, East Liverpool, and Thomas E., Fred J. and David G Lanam, all of Westville, Ohio; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; a sister, Miss Evelyn Bryner, Beaver, and two brothers, Harold Bryner, Beaver, and Homer Bryner, Monaca.

Friends will be received Thursday afternoon and evening in the Dawson Funeral Home, 215 Fifth St., East Liverpool, where a service will be conducted Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry.
