George Krepps

George Krepps (Jr.) – George Krepps, the son of George Krebs/Kreps, was born August 7, 1876 in Butler County, PA and died on January 28, 1952 in Beaver County, PA.  George was a tool dresser working in the oil fields during the boom days of the oil industry in Pennsylvania.  He married Mary Adelia “Della” Hayes who was born on Nov. 5, 1872 and died on December 23, 1957.

Obituary – George Krepps –  January, 1952:

KREPPS – George, 75, husband of Mrs. Della Krepps, died of a heart attack, at noon Monday, January 28, 1952, in his home, R. D. 1, Freedom, New Sewickley Township.  Mr. Krepps was born August 7, 1876, in Butler County, the son of the late George and Anna Keck Krepps.  He was a life long resident of New Sewickley Township, where he was a member of the House of Mercy Lutheran Church, Crows Run.  He had been in ill health the past 10 years.  Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Anna Dwyer, Terre Haute, Ind.; Mrs. Gertrude Markel, Tampa, Fla.; two sons Vivian and Clyde Krepps, R. D. 1, Freedom; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  Friends are being received in the Gross Funeral Home, Freedom, where the funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31 at 2 p.m. in charge of his pastor, Rev. E. Victor Roland.  Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Cemetery.
